Physical Therapy at St. Luke's - Kutztown Pediatrics

I called a dozen offices in the schuylkill/berks area looking for speech therapy for my son and by far, Denise at the front desk was the most friendly and helpful. She's also amazing with the kids! It usually takes a few minutes for them to choose a sticker on their way out and she's so patient and kind, holding the bins and chatting- you can tell she enjoys them! We always look forward to seeing her. Speech therapists- Brooke and Mel have been endlessly patient with my 2 and 3 year olds, and so much fun (they love to sing)! Most importantly though, they've never tried to pressure or coerce my older son into cooperating- taking their time to build rapport and meet him where he's at. Even when he's had a difficult morning- he always leaves feeling like he did a great job and is excited to come back! They're flexible and understanding (and responsive to emails)- this is the first office I've ever felt comforatble not being in the appt with my son- I can hear him laughing through the walls :D Absolutely worth the drive, and so grateful we found them!

My 5 year old, non-verbal autistic son has been receiving treatment for 2 years now. We love it here! At this point he's now receiving all 3 services and everyone, including any student, has been amazingly accommodating. Every therapist provides individualized care. They know when to push for results and when to back off and try something different. The best part is that it all seems like playtime to the kids! They all celebrate small victories and equally understand when the littles are just having a rough day. We highly recommend the inviting, warm, encouraging and enthusiastic ladies at St. Luke's Pediatric Therapy.

my 2 month old son sees Sarah M. she is absolutely amazing . I am heartbroken she is leaving for maternity leave but so excited for her and her family ! she goes above and beyond and i trust her with my little guy ! she explains everything step by step , she is so gentle , kind and patient . you don’t find many people with her kindness and personality these days anymore . i would recommend her a million times again ! also when you walk in you are Greeted with a huge smile and hello from the wonderful front desk, lady :) - Kayla C.

Shelly and Mel are my sons speech and occupational therapists. I am so grateful for them as my son has ADHD and has a hard time sitting still. They find different ways to get him to focus and articulate his words. He started out struggling to write his name which he now proudly does. He has made such great strides with their help and guidance. I have nothing but amazing things to say about them.

My son Damian has been seeing Ms. Shelly for a few weeks now and he truly loves going to her. He enjoys the time he spends with her and has learned things he didn’t know before. The time spent with her has definitely made easier for me to work with him at home. Thank you Shelly for working so well with Damian and making every visit enjoyable and fun for him.

We have been taking our son for physical therapy here for a couple of months and the staff has been wonderful. They’re very accommodating and show great concern for our child’s needs. Tracy Heffner and Sarah Stametz have been the primary care providers for our child and have been doing great. Thanks to them we have seen great strides with our child’s progress and abilities.

Our family loves coming here; it’s very accommodating to our schedule and travel. Mrs. Sarah does an amazing job working with our son and his disabilities. We go twice a week and the difference since coming here is profound. Mrs. Brooke engages and helps our son communicate. The co-treat they both do here helps so much and continues our son goals. The assistance I have gotten as a parent is unmatched with knowledge, equipment ordering, specialized equipment for my son’s body. I cannot say enough positive things about this facility. Thank you very much!

We have had a wonderful experience with this therapy office! From the moment we walked in the staff was welcoming, professional and organized. Ms.Denise greats us with a smile everyday and is always so helpful and accommodating with our hectic schedules. You can tell she truly loves her job based on how she interacts with the kids and parents-and her great stickers!! Ms.Mel has been giving our daughter speech therapy for almost a year and we have seen such a difference! She has been so patient with our two year old who takes a while to warm up to new people-now she sprints inside the office and doesn't want to leave! Ms.Mel truly has a gift for making the therapy seem like playtime, she explains everything in a way that we can understand and gives us tips on things to do at home. When we first started here our daughter had significant speech delays, now- she has a wide vocabulary and yells "Bye!" every time we leave the office! We are so grateful for Ms.Mel's expertise, patience and kindness.

We absolutely love coming to feeding therapy at this location! My 3 year old was apprehensive at first, but Shelley and Brooke work together with her, and have made this such a comfortable, fun experience. Denise at the front desk is so kind, welcoming and helpful. My daughter has made so much progress since starting feeding therapy here and we couldn’t be more grateful for this team!

We love the Kutztown Pediatrics team. Our son has been seeing Ms. Brooke and Shelley for years. They really go the extra mile to help him learn. They incorporate sensory time and find unique ways to make him feel safe and relaxed to learn. Every therapy session is molded to his mood and energy level for that day. Whether it is swinging, rolling, or spinning, they meet all his needs. Ms. Denise welcomes us every day with kindness and helps our son feel ready for his sessions. She does so much more than just registering him for his session. We have been to other therapy locations, and the Kutztown location is by far the best, especially with children with special needs.
